Fairview’s Taylor Haines - Athlete of the Month Presented By Northwest Technology Center
Fairview senior Taylor Haines appreciates the community feel of attending a small school.
“I like how you are able to build more personal relationships with teachers and students due to it being such a small school,” she said.
She is also enrolled at Northwest Technology Center in the Biomed program. She chose this course because she plans to have a career in medicine and said that she knew these classes would prepare her in a way no other class could.
“I heard so many great things about NW Tech and the shop opportunities that Tech offers,” she said. “I knew I wanted to take Biomed because of my interest in the medical field. One of my favorite things about Biomed is that Mr. Cusack is such an amazing teacher and is incredibly passionate about what he teaches. I also love that through these past two years I have learned so much about different medical professions and I have truly got to explore my love of science and medicine.”
Haines is involved in HOSA at Northwest Tech, and says that one of her favorite memories is when she and her classmates competed at State HOSA in OKC.
Haines looks to her mother a role model in life. “I definitely look up to my mom the most,” she said. “The amount of love and care she shows to everyone in her life is something I greatly admire and strive to be like.”
After high school she will be attending UCO to study forensics. She then plans on going to med school to become a forensic pathologist.
