KATELYN McCARTNEY – PIONEER LADY MUSTANGS

The Lady Mustangs are coming off a 22-7 season and senior Katelyn McCartney will be getting her first starting assignment in the outfield for Coach Riesen. McCartney has worked hard the past three years to improve and get the nod in either left or right field. Coach Riesen likes her leadership ability and the fact that she is always taking charge and communicating with the other players. Katelyn says she “makes the best of every situation” and aims to support her teammates. The Lady Mustangs will pitch well and play good defense. Pioneer will need to manufacture runs this season and improve offensively. Coach Riesen said, “The Lady Mustangs have a chance to be in every game this season with good pitching and solid defense. If the team can generate some offense, they may be tough to beat.” Look for Katelyn McCartney to make a big contribution to the Pioneer program.
